Have you ever had the experience of doing your weekly grocery shopping and while you're wandering the isles thinking of all the different things you'd like to eat that week, you start to get those pesky hunger pangs? Thankfully if you find yourself in this predicament often, Lina's Italian Market is definately the place to load up on your weekly groceries. The great thing about this little market is that in addition to the huge selection of cured meats, fine cheeses, and Italian specialties, there happens to a pretty solid little cafeteria section that offers everything from hot Italian entrees, made to order sandwiches and a nice selection of deserts.
Whenever we go to Lina's for a spot of shopping and lunch we invariably end up settling on their selection of Italian sandwiches. Aside from the delicious fillings, credit must also be given to the bread which all is served on. Different from many other sandwich shops, the bread at Lina's is made in the in house bakery and is beautifully crusty and fresh, making their sandwiches that much more special.
Our usual go to sandwich is the 'Pescara' which is stuffed to bursting with their home made porchetta and sweet roasted red peppers. The porchetta is essentially a huge pork roast stuffed with garlic and sage slow cooked to perfect tenderness on the inside and crispy skinned goodness on the outside. The perfect finishing touch to this sandwich are the chunks of crispy crackling that add a nice crunch to balance off the super tender pork.

Next we tried the 'Calabrese.' and again we were not disappointed. This sandwich also was filled to the brim with loads of spicy salami, provolone cheese, pickled eggplant and your choice of sweet red peppers or roasted hot peppers. If you're a fan of some spice in your sandwich this one is for you.

With Quick efficient service, and generously filled sandwiches for a mere $6.95, Lina's Italian Market is definately the place to go if you're in need of both Italian ingredients and a place to quickly satisfy a big appetite.
